Service Design Project

Worked as a summer intern at The Satellite Applications Catapult in Harwell, UK during the summer of 2015. I performed an 8 week project developing a concept on how satellites could be used to improve the resilience in British disaster and emergency response using a user centred service design method. The project involved interviews with people all over the UK that had a connection to these types of emergencies.

It resulted in the suggestion to implement an ubiquitous communication system to increase the robustness of the communication link between the commanders and the firefighters. The work gained popularity and as part of the internship I was invited to present my findings to David Morris MP, Chair, Parliamentary Space Committee at the House of Commons in London.
